How do I set the preferences?
Connection
Wizard
For a quick setup you can also use the Wizard. It will give you good values to start using the software.Simultaneous Downloads
This setting will only affect the maximum number of sources allowed per file. It does not affect the number of files you can download. If you have many files in your transfer list, you must lower the maximum number of sources per file. Choose approximately how many files you will probably have in your list.Connection Type
Choose your connection speed from the list. It is important to choose the correct speed for your connection. If it does not appear on the list, choose "Customize" and enter the bandwidth information in the boxes. Then, enter the values in the True Bandwidth boxes. Remember that kiloBits/s [kb/s] and kiloBytes/s [kB/s] are not the same. One Byte equals 8 Bits. Press Apply and you have completed the Connection setup.Directories
In the Directories Preferences you can specify a folder where completed files are stored (Incoming Files) and a path for unfinished files (Temporary Files). Marked folders in Shared Directories are released to the network. If you want to share multiple subdirectories, please use the CTRL key and check the parent folder.
What are servers?
Servers are needed in order to access the network. Obtaining an updated server list is important when you first use the software.
What are sources?
Sources are the total number of users that are sharing the file. The higher the number, the faster the download. The total number of sources (all the downloads) is approximately 3000.
